July 7, 2020 Republican Primary Alert!!!

Last week the Vote-By-Mail Ballots for the July 7 Primary Election were mailed to all registered Republican voters in Bernardsville.

Some of those ballots were incorrect. In order to ensure that all registered Republicans in Bernardsville receive a corrected ballot, a new Vote-By-Mail ballot was mailed on June 15. You should be receiving this corrected, NEW ballot in your mailbox soon.

Please carefully review this new ballot together with the enclosed voting and mailing instructions. Complete your Vote-By-Mail ballot and mail at your earliest convenience. You should destroy your previously received ballot.

The official Somerset County Polling Places were assigned on June 15. Bernardsville’s ONLY polling place will be located at the Bernardsville Library, 1 Anderson Hill Road. No locations for ballot “Drop Boxes” have been established at this time.

If you have a disability and need an accessible ballot, you may go to your assigned polling place, the Bernardsville Library, which will provide access to an in person accessible voting device on Primary Election Day.

Only provisional paper ballots will be available to cast your vote if you choose to vote at the Bernardsville Library polling place.

Since this process is new, there have been “glitches”. This should not stop you from casting your ballot for the slate of Republicans in the Primary on July 7. Remember your Vote-By-Mail ballot must be postmarked no later than 8:00 PM on JULY 7, 2020.

I encourage you to complete your Vote-By-Mail ballots and get them in the mail. Let’s make sure all of our Republican votes count!
