The BRMC unanimously endorsed Diane Greenfield and Patrick Bosworth for Bernardsville Borough Council in 2020.
Diane Greenfield held a Borough Council seat from December 2018 through December 2019. During that time, she served on the Personnel Committee and as the Council liaison to the Board of Health, HPAC, Shared Court Advisory and Cultural Arts Advisory Committees. Diane, a Bernardsville resident for 29 years, has in the past been active in the Somerset Hills School System serving as Co-President of the Home and School Association at the Bernardsville Middle School and Vice President at the Bedwell School as well as serving as chairperson for numerous committees in all three Borough schools.
Ms. Greenfield told the BRMC that “while serving on the Borough Council my priorities included the importance of seriously examining shared municipal services with neighboring towns to reduce spending. I also believe the development of new and improvement of existing passive and active recreational facilities would enhance our Borough for current residents and help make Bernardsville more attractive to potential home buyers.
Diane Greenfield was elected to the Bernardsville Republican Municipal Committee in June 2016 representing District 5 and is currently serving as its Secretary.
Patrick Bosworth is a long-time resident of Bernardsville with children who all attend the Bernardsville Public Schools. Mr. Bosworth was elected to the Bernardsville Republican Municipal Committee and represents Bernardsville’s District 5. He was selected to serve on the Downtown Revitalization Committee and continues to serve Bernardsville in that capacity bringing his business expertise in marketing and finance to assist Bernardsville in its Downtown Revitalization projects. Mr. Bosworth is active in coaching youth sports including Bernardsville’s youth basketball, softball, the Somerset Hills baseball recreation and has served as a board member of the Somerset Little League.
BRMC Chairman, Karen Gardner said that “both Diane and Pat have the knowledge and expertise working with Bernardsville’s Borough Council and committees that will be important in getting our municipal spending under control. They will make the hard decisions necessary to ensure that our Borough is financially strong and kept an attractive place to live and work. The candidates’ priorities are consistent with what our Borough needs going forward in this challenging time.”
The Bernardsville Republican Municipal Committee is comprised of male and female elected representatives from each of Bernardsville’s seven election districts. These Committeemen and Committeewomen promote the political philosophy of the Republican Party, assist in the election of qualified Republican candidates for public office and provide for an active Republican voice in local, county, state and federal governments.
