Worrying trends on our Borough tax rate…

Hi Neighbors –

This week, we want to highlight that in comparison to other towns, our municipal tax rate, which our mayor and council vote on, is moving in the wrong direction. In 2011 our rate was ranked 8th out of the 21 towns in Somerset county (See here for the full list).

However, in 2017, according to the county, we were ranked 10th out of 21! (See here)

We are heading in the wrong direction!

Under Kevin Sooy’s administration (since he joined the governing body in 2008), our tax rate has gone up, but our quality has gone down, while other nearby towns are passing us by.

We can start to head back in the right direction – lower taxes and better quality services – by voting for our Republican team on November 6th!
